Membership and Fees

Upstarts Gymnastics Charitable Incorporated Organisation is managed by team of Trustees and a guidance committee of parents and coaches.  Our fees and administration is run by a management software system called 'Love Admin'. This system allows us to communicate more effectively with our members and ensures our volunteers and coaches can put their efforts in to creating excellent gymnastics sessions for our members, as opposed to completing admin tasks.

Initial joining costs and ongoing fees (To join our club, scroll to the bottom of this page!)

 

When your child joins our club, we begin with a free trial session so you can be sure that gymnastics is the right sport for them. If they enjoy the trial and are placed in a suitable class, it then becomes a requirement to register with British Gymnastics as a Community Member. Membership provides a range of benefits, but most importantly, it includes the insurance needed to take part in our sessions.

To make the initial costs of joining more manageable, payments are structured as follows:

At the start (on joining):

• First month’s training fee (paid in advance)

• British Gymnastics Membership (£24 per year, paid directly to British Gymnastics)

From the second month (due on the 1st):

• One-off Club Joining Fee: £15 (to cover the administration of setting up and closing memberships)

• Annual Club Membership Fee: £15.00 (paid on joining, and then once per year)

• Second month’s training fee (paid in advance)

From the third month:

• Monthly fee in advance of the month

​

Fees and Membership Information

​

Upstarts Gymnastics CIO provides training for 42 weeks each year. However, we only charge for 39 weeks, allowing for any emergency closure days that may arise due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather or facility issues.

​

These 39 weeks of fees are divided into 12 equal monthly payments, ensuring your payments remain consistent throughout the year. This approach was agreed upon by our parent committee to:

• Help families budget more easily

• Simplify fee collection

• Keep administration to a minimum

For gymnasts who attend on Mondays, fees are further reduced to account for the additional bank holidays, which do not affect other training days. These adjustments are also spread evenly across the 12 months.

In addition to club fees, all participants must hold membership with our Governing Body, British Gymnastics. Membership provides insurance cover for participation, along with a range of other benefits. You can read more about the benefits of British Gymnastics membership via the button below.

Insurance: -

 

When you get your trial at Upstarts Gymnastics CIO, you will be covered for your trial session by British Gymnastics, however, following this trial you MUST become a British Gymnastics Member to participate in gymnastics activities in a Community Club like ours.  British Gymnastics membership is currently £24 for the year (pre-school £15), and is renewed by you annually.

Before you leave: -

 

We hope your time at Upstarts Gymnastics CIO is enjoyable, as we strive to deliver high-quality gymnastics activities that focus on both positive experiences and steady progression.

​

If, however, you decide to leave the club, you are required to give two weeks’ notice via email. This allows us to:

​

• Give your gymnast a fond farewell and wish them well in their next adventure

• Stop fee collection promptly and accurately

• Offer the place to someone on our waiting list without disruption to the club’s essential running costs

​

Please note that this two-week notice period is a condition of membership at Upstarts Gymnastics CIO.
